Solar Power is becoming more and more important today as a source of alternative energy. However, one of the problems to oversome is that the Photovoltaic cells generate DC power and therefore require an inverter to change the DC power into AC power which is what we need fo both industry and out homes.
The cells are contantly generating whilst there is daylight and saftey, therefore, the inverter needs to be isloated for servicing and repair.
To ensure saftey, it is customary to fit a DC switch between the Photovoltaic cells and the input to the inverter and also an AC switch between the output of the inverter and the main switchboard.

The yellow/red handle accepts three padlocks and it also has a door interlock with defeat mechanism. so that the cover is interlocked in both the ON position and PADLOCKED OFF position.
